The Puddle
Once in awhile I like to try to shake things up a bit in my
Kindergarten classroom. Half of the class was with my associate, and I
was ready to give directions to the last half. Thinking it would be fun
to huddle up as I explained what we were going to be doing in our
writing journals, I called to the students, Hustle hustle let's
jump into a huddle. All of the kids crowded around me and waited
expectantly. I was missing three students that were off still sitting at
their tables. The whole huddle turned around to look at them and wait
for them to join us. One of the girls not following directions, noticed
us and exclaimed, Hurry guys, we gotta go jump in the puddle!
