Kindergarten Quotables
I love teaching Kindergarten. I love how they come into the classroom in
August knowing just a handful of letters-usually just the ones in their
names. Soon they are sounding out the beginning and ending sounds of
words. As the year progresses they are absorbing information on letter
sounds, blends, and endings like 'ing'. Some are ready to move onto
those tricky vowel sounds in the middle of words. Sentences are being
written and stories composed. They grow and change so fast and I love
witnessing their progress. Then there is the other reason I love teaching
Kindergarten: You never truly can expect of know what is running through
their heads and what is going to come out of their mouths.
I don't ever want to forget these innocent musings, so I am writing
