Valentine's Activities

Chain of Love
Make a fun Countdown to Valentines Day! First make paper chains out of strips of paper. Write the names of people you care about on the chains. Link all the chains together and hang someplace fun!

Love Bugs
Cut out all different sizes of hearts. Then cut strips of paper and attach them on the back of the hearts. They can be used for finger puppets! Then decorate the front of your hearts with wiggle eyes, pipe cleaners for legs and crayons to make to make some spots!

Back Pack Heart
Cut out a heart from red card stock. Decorate it with glitter, sequins, and confetti. Cover your heart with contact paper, punch a hole in the top, and add a clip.

Pop-up Valentine Card
This one is the favorite of my Kindergarten students! Fold a piece of construction paper. Cut out a heart and a paper strip in an accordion fold. Glue your heart at the top of the accordion. Glue the bottom of the accordion on the inside of the card. Decorate the rest of your card! Don't forget to write a message on the popping out heart!

Valentine Necklace
Cut out different colors and sizes of hearts and decorate them Take ribbon or yarn and attach the hearts onto it. You can also string beads, sections of straws, or cereal onto your necklace.

Valentine Coaster
Cut a heart out of a foam tray. Make sure it is big enough for a glass to sit on it. Decorate the tray with markers and colored pencils.

Lovely Lacing Heart
Cut a heart of out cardstock or cardboard. Decorate the heart with glitter, and markers. Use a hole punch to punch holes around your heart. Take a ribbon and weave it through the heart. Tie a bow with the ends and give to someone special!
